Caring - The first responsibility of a lawyer is to listen and understand the concerns of his clients. He must genuinely care about the people he is serving. Only when he sees the case from the clients perspective will he be able to tell their story.

This is why it is important to be ready for the unexpected. Beyond keeping up with continuing education we are committed to continually improving and broadening our skills.

Assertive - What is the difference between aggressive and assertive? If you see an aggressive attorney yelling at a judge or a prosecutor you may think they are fighting for their client. However, yelling for the sake of yelling might make a good show, but in the end it can backfire. In complex litigation cases, this can be disastrous. When an attorney is thoroughly prepared and confident in his legal prowess he can be firm, yet respectful, knowing that he is truly more dangerous than the aggressive attorney.

Honest When you are dealing with legal matters, it may not always be easy to hear the truth. However, if your attorney is not honest with you, you may end up with a real shock.
